There was a pup at the training class before ours today, same age as jasper, but huge, big boned but too fat really, you could just see the poor fellow was going to have health problems later unless his owners get their act together... Your boy is lovely

Re: getting bigger and stronger i am a first time dog owner, my son is over the moon with him, we treat him like a king, we cant believe how clever labradors are, was toilet trained from first few days, started him in a crate, de crated him for the last 10 days, not had any damage in the house, just need a landscape gardener now hehehe :'( but feel so blessed to have such a good boy

Re: getting bigger and stronger thats brilliant jade, amy will be a different dog in a couple of weeks, i didnt enjoy jasper, from 12 week to 16 week, its now that i am getting the fun loving dog that we have always wanted, when he was biting/nipping/mouthing , i was besides my self, the difference a few weeks makes is unbelievable, hes a pleasure now, i had an appointment in my home yesterday, the guy that came to see me said you have been blessed with a lovely dog, i was very proud of jasper, hes at the side of me sleeping now, i have had 3 children and 2 grand children, i must admit i have found jasper harder than any of the ,but i now have the good company that i wanted, my lovely jasper, hes a star,

Re: getting bigger and stronger Lynne , Jasper is very much like Sam , big boned, but slim built , Sam was about that size at that age and now, at 22 months, he weighs a whopping 37 kilos but not a scrap of fat, so be prepared for one huge boy
Re: getting bigger and stronger i have seen photos of sam, he is like him, and yes sam is a whopper, hes weighing 20 kilos now, he as his food weighed out and half a tin of sardines, i take a big hand full of food out, for treats during the day, i have caught my lad giving him treats, when i am not looking lol, i also give him carrot and a little bit of liver for special treats, put some more photos on of sam, i love seeing the photos
