    Hi Everyone,

Can anyone help with us out a bit, we have a Rhododendron plant in our garden which Ozzie has been kindly "cutting" for us, he never ingests the leaves just pulls them off and pulls it a part, but never swallows it, but with his stomach issues lately and we happened to mention it to our trainer, and she told us to have a look at what the plant did in relation to medicine purposes as dogs sometimes self medicate with plants/grass/leaves.

I have googled this and I found a site that says its toxic for dogs:

I'm not sure if this is related and I hope it isn't, but I just wanted to know if anyone else has any knowledge on this at all?

    Hello there

I have rhododendrons in my garden - Charlie doesn't touch them, thankfully. One is in the middle of other bushes, and he doesn't really go there, and the other is large so we cut the bottom branches off it so he can't reach it.

I really wouldn't let a pup put any part of rhododendron in his mouth - I don't know whether this is being over cautious, but we are careful with ours.

There is a full list of plants to be wary about here: http://www.dogstrust.org.uk/az/factsheetsanddownloads/factsheetpoisonoussubstances09.pdf
