Okay, okay, so it's another 6 weeks and 3 days until Bonny is old enough to come home BUT i'm already thinking about food. Currently she's on BETA puppy (well no, not yet i suspect but her mum is eating that and the breeder says that's all they use) SO.. Will i continue with that? Also - a collar came in the post today, a Jazooli size small, it looks rather tiny... i have no idea how big my girl's going to be when she comes home but i've measured the collar by the cat (assuming she'll be bigger?) thanks for any help!
Re: Puppy food! You didn't mention how many hours and minutes till Bonny comes home You won't actually NEED a collar when she comes home, so I wouldn't worry about it. Measure her when you do get her home. You will get through several in the first few months. You sound so much like an expectant mum I'm tempted to suggest you knit her one
Re: Puppy food! I could give you the minutes hahah. Okay, i'll keep hold of this one and if it doesn't fit we can pop to Pets at Home a week or two down the line It fits the cat if all else fails! It is exactly like expecting a baby... my gran knitted her dog a cardigan last year in the winter(he's a Chihuahua) and if i didn't expect my pup would rip hers into shreds i'd do one too!
Re: Puppy food! My Penny used to be on beta puppy when we first got her but it used to give her terrible gas and her poo was a bit loose. It is a good food but doesn't agree with everyone. I changed Penny to a wheat and gluten free food - Arden Grange, and never looked back! It's about finding what agrees best with your dog and your pocket! We can all recommend different foods on here but it's very much down to the individual dog as to what suits them best. If the pups do well on beta and their poo is nice and firm then there is no real reason to change other than personal preference.
