Looking to buy new harness for my 5month old puppy, anyone got a good choice for me as there are so many to choose from thanks.
Re: Harness I went to a vet puppy class and they leant me a harness that was so good we went out and bought one ourselves - cosydogs. Several other dogs in my local area wear them too. Ash was in size 2 at 10 weeks and is currently in size 3 at 17 weeks. We love it so much we have got a size 4 for him to grow into. There are a couple of sellers online. I tried both stores but the Lancaster one delivered the fastest. I have since found them on sale at my vets too, included cool reflective ones.
Re: Harness I've just had a look at those cosydog harnesses and they look the same as the xtradog one that I have and it's fab! The xtradog has a ring on the chest to attach a lead to which can help prevent pulling on the lead too.
Re: Harness I use one from dog games (I don't use it much anymore, but from time to time eg if Charlie is on a long line for some reason). The critical points to look for in a back fastening walking harness for me are: a Y shaped front so there is nothing to interfere with the action of the front legs; an attachment point that is far down the dog's back so the girth is well clear of the back of the front legs; straps that are wide and padded particularly across the front; and a really good fit. http://dog-games-shop.co.uk/ I use the fleece one. If you like the look of the perfect fit ones, it's a cost effective way to get a bespoke size without having one made to measure from scratch.
