Help! Our 8 month old black lab was fully toilet trained during the night at about 6 months . Then he went to a local kennel for 2 nights as we went away for the weekend . Ever since that he has started weeing and pooing during the night :( His last food is around 4pm , and we always walk him before bed where he usually does the business . How can I get him trained again ?! It's becoming a nightmare

How long since he was at the kennel? Could it be a stomach bug he picked up?

    Sorry I'm not sure if I'm using this right ! I'm a newbie .
No he isn't crate trained . We tried when he was 8 weeks old when we got him , but he was a nightmare . He kept crying and biting it so hard he hurt his mouth . We tried to keep at it but in the end we made a bed for him in utility room . He's been fine in there recently , we would wake up about 6.30 come down to a totally clean room . It was last weekend he was at the kennel ... That's when the accidents started again . I don't think it's a bug as his poo is normal .

Is there a way you can make the sleeping area in the utility room smaller? Just big enough to hold his bed.

Ok yeah that's a good idea ... I'll try block it off somehow . He sleeps down one end and he always poos the other end next to the door ( same place he did when he was tiny )

And maybe work on trying to clear the scent he has left at the poop/wee site?
I think other people have recommended "Simple Solution" as it is ammonia-free so is better at neutralising odours.
