    It's very difficult. I had to have my cat put to sleep recently and found it really difficult. It took a few visits to the vets before I went ahead. I also took my lab to the vets to be put to sleep when I was about 14; I didn't get over it for about 40 years. Allow your children to talk about it and reassure them that it was right.
