    Hi

Just moved into new house and one of my labs (Alfie) is not eating at all. Anyone have any suggestions that I can try before taking to Vets.

    Thanks

This may well be related to your house move, Labs can be very sensitive to change , but if I were you , I would take him to the Vets as it could be something unrelated , best to err to caution for your peace of mind, hope he will improve soon .

    How old is Alfie?

If not a young pup I wouldn't worry, if no other signs of health isuues - make sure he's drinking 'tho - he'll soon decide to eat when he's settled in :)

If he's a young pup I'd pop to the vets.

If he normally has a good appetite I'd be off to the vet's. Is he normally an enthusiastic eater?

Definitely go to the vet, just to rule out a medical problem. Not eating is usually a sign of illness, in this case it could be due to the move, but would have him checked out.

Charlie lives in different places (depending on my work), and also comes on holiday with us to different places. Only illness will stop him eating.

I know some labradors can be fussy about food though. But if he is normally a labrador food hoover, I'd be off to the vet...

We are off to the vets today for boosters.

He has no problem with his treats or seeing if the kids have left anything from tea and today I gave him his breakfast with tuna and he ate that faster than a dyson hoover so maybe he just got bored and fancied a change.

That made me laugh too....Buddy eats everything faster than a Dyson- that's why I'm eternally grateful to this site for informing me about frozen Kongs!
Hope Alfie gets an all clear from the vet too,
    Best wishes,
