Went to the woods as Betty (Chihuahua) loves a run through the trees, Elsie was behaving nicely just a bit of barking. But why can't people leave us alone ? We are a work in progress anything sets us back at the moment and the people with the large Rottie and the other couple with the 3 terriers could so easily have seen we were trying to avoid them and put their dogs on leads or gone the other way. Betty got mobbed and pushed in a huge muddy puddle which she hated, Elsie was pinned down by the rottie and she really didn't like that.
Coming home Betty dripping in mud and Elsie panicking every time she saw a dog so back to square one again with her nerves around dogs I guess.

Such a shame as we had a lovely walk yesterday along the tow path where Elsie only forgot her manners once and actually got her confidence up and said hello to a staffie !

What a shame :( it is so frustrating when others aren't paying attention to what's going on around them :(
Were Betty and Elsie on lead?

Yes Betty is too tiny to let off in long grass we lose her and Elsie off lead is an odd girl she hugs a leg and refuses to budge, much more confident on lead.

Obviously the other dog walkers didn't bother to pay attention to that fact - if another dog is on lead and in your line of vision, you put them on lead!!! It's polite and sometimes necessary as you don't know why they are on lead - could be injured, training, not friendly etc etc. so rude
Hopefully tomorrow will be a better walk ;)

Just an idea, I got Meg a collar showing that she was deaf so people who didn't know would understand why I'm unable to call her back. She's a good girl though, she looks at me if we see anyone and waits to see if I let her go to them (people we know) or put her on lead but there have been occasions where she's spotted someone before me. The company I got them from do all different collars and harnesses with different warnings.

Ah it all sounds a bit hectic,I hope tomorrow is better and you either get some peace and quiet to all relax together or bump into some nice dogs with friendly, responsible owners x
