Re: Slow feeder Sometime ago there was a thread on this subject (sorry don't know how to link) that said slow feeders are not that good for dogs as their intake of air increases. Tip the food onto the floor or tray this slows their gulping food by a lot. I did this with Charlie who would inhale all of his food in seconds and it worked he now has his meals in a bowl like a grown up : Worth a try. x

Took her a few minutes to figure it out and she pinged bits of kibble all over the kitchen but hoovering them up after just extended the meal time even longer.

Lochan had an anti-gulp bowl at about 8 months of age and killed an incisor tooth on it she was so frantic to get the kibble out. The tray slows her right down, although she has never managed the transition to a grown-up bowl like Charlie even at the grand old age of 3 and a half!
