Hi all, I recently changed Maisie's food and since then I've noticed that she is scavenging a lot when we are out and about. Before this she really wasn't bothered about eating everything and anything when we were out. I wonder if this is a coincidence and just a part of growing up or if the food doesn't suit her and she is not satisfied? Anyone else experienced this?
Re: Change of food and scavenging Can only say when we changed Elsie from puppy food to adult her scavenging stopped immediately so I would say food does have effect.
Re: Change of food and scavenging Harley didn't use to scavenge for food until she was about 6 month old.....then it was anything remotely tasty
Re: Change of food and scavenging
Harley didn't use to scavenge for food until she was about 6 month old.....then it was anything remotely tasty
Does she still scavenge Naya?
Re: Change of food and scavenging Very rarely now, but if she scents something tasty like cake or chips then yes :/
Re: Change of food and scavenging Charlie scavenges if he's on a diet! ;D Other than that, it's controllable. He was worse with sticks until he was about a year old - he'd pick up ever single stick he came across and crunch them up, sometimes swallowing (then sicked them up later). Used to get very annoying on walks. He still does it a bit, but not so bad.
