I THINK I'M READY. I have got - Crate, lined with a vet bed and a cuddly blanket to throw in there. A micro-wave toy (suitable for pups!) for night time cuddles A blanket for the couch (yes yes, she's getting on the couch) 2 Kongs *I can't figure out how the kibble wouldn't fall out the bottom though?* Nylabone a couple of balls and rope-like things 2 bowls 1 lead 1 collar with a name tag 2 giant bags of kibble 1 poop scoop 1 million poop bags 1 clicker and 1 whistle 1 brush Puppy pee pads OH and LOTS AND LOTS of patience, cuddles and love waiting for her! i've installed a safety gate on the dining room door and the bottom of the stairs and puppy proofed (yeah right!) the garden and house. What am i missing? Saturday cannot come quick enough! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Re: Puppy preparations!? Peanut butter or pieces of cheese to block the Kong holes, other than that you have everything. Apart from enough patience to wait for Saturday ;D
Re: Puppy preparations!? Kitchen roll - lots and lots and lots of it! Simple Solution for mopping up accidents
Re: Puppy preparations!? Regarding Kongs - Put some kibble in Put in a plastic cup Fill with hot water Leave 5 mins Tip away the water Freeze I found Gypsy wasn't interested at first so I just put a little soft kibble in without freezing, but it doesn't take them long before it needs freezing to last any legth of time. (Always soften Kibble 'till 12 weeks old even when using it as treats - little pups easily choke on dried food, they can't cough a stuck bit out until 12 weeks - Guide Dogs have lost three that way and now always tell new Puppy Walkers of the danger.)
Re: Puppy preparations!? Ahh thanks! Does anyone know where I can get the patience to wait? I was going to ask whether or not to soak kibble as there seems to be a mixed opinion but I think I will anyway, just incase! I have simple solution in the cupboard, forgot about that!

[/quote] Your breeder will tell you about soaking food & amount to give when you pick up your puppy. As for patience, im afraid I was unable to locate a place that sold a bag of that. Oh & I presume the pup will be called Bonny?
Re: Puppy preparations!? Dog toothpaste/brush? I started K at 8 weeks just rubbing toothpaste on her teeth or using little finger brush. I know they lose their puppy teeth but I did it just to get her used to having her teeth brushed as early as possible.
