Re: What it's like living with deaf dogs The stamping reminds me of our late deaf Benny, he went deaf quite early about 7 years old, and we had to adapt quickly. Only challenging time with him really was when at 11 years old his eyes started to fail him then our signals had to change to touches and vibrations. I always remember Benny with much love he was a special dog and taught us a few things, like for instance we always teach puppies with signals and language has meant all our dogs since when they became old were still able to follow what we wanted them to do even when their ears weren't best. I would recommend anyone with patience to have a deaf dog they are very special dogs I believe.
