So today Dexter is 2 ;D can't believe how fast it's gone and how much I've learned and still need to learn : Here he is at the weekend.... image by dexterpops02, on Flickr To celebrate ,we went out early on a walk Julie would have been proud of....we did the 'about turn walk'..( we've both been getting too complacent about distance because we do the same few walks over and over...his ingestion of a lizard carcass was testament to that last week!)We played Hide and Seek,we did 2 retreives with his hexabumper ( first outing from the garden) we did some lovely off lead heel walking ( that wasn't planned,he just did it really well by falling into step with me ) we played frisbee and we practiced Stop and our 'with me ' turns .....This was all a prelude to the real celebration......Going to the shops to sit on the bench!I figured that by tiring his brain out as well as his body we'd fare better : however when I got in Chris was just getting up and wanted me to stay in so he could play with him on his Birthday :....I guess another couple of days is hardly going to railroad our 'Training Plan' ..... So he's having a 3 day celebration.....today,tomorrow his pal Oscar is coming for a Play date and on Wednesday my Niece and Nephew are coming for a play and sleepover with another little friend so they want a tea party..... Hence this effort!!! image by dexterpops02, on Flickr Not great when you look at the ones on YouTube but for 3 and 5 year olds they will be fine ;D Hmmmmm maybe I should have spent that time more productively by practising our Stop whistle! Tomorrow is a another day though, and in our Family ,the day after your Birthday is always called your Boxing Day Birthday.....so maybe we can celebrate that on the bench!!! ;D Whoops, forgot the photos!
