I would like to say firstly, how sad I was to hear of Lynnes death, she will be a great loss to this forum , and to all who knew her. I have been on a psychiatric ward recently, Lynne and I had similar problems, she was so supportive of me, her warmth and kindness, her inteligence and humor, I will never forget. So, Otis has been staying with my parents, Im so proud of him ! My dad is 89, and they love each other. He has been walked by a friend, and also spent a weekend with a borrow my doggy couple, who are just great with him. Ive also spent time with him, so he hasnt forgotten me. He has been to the beach with us, and an unsociable uncastrated dashund called Nobby, which passed without incident because Otis has such a good nature, that Nobby rememberd his manners. We had one little worry, a visit to the vets when a lymph gland on his upper jaw seemed to get infected and swollen, all seems okay now, we left it alone without treatment. I think it was maybe where a particle of food got in ? Perhaps and caused minor inflammtion. I get my boy back on Wednesday, I cant wait, two more sleeps ! He has been played with in my parents big garden, he loves this tatty old football we have that is great for tuggy. He has been digging a lot on the beach looking for unsavoury snacks, and done lots of paddleing. Hope everyone and all dogs and pups are well, Maggie x

Re: Otis has been for a away break Lynne's death knocked me for six and I also think of Jasper, he must miss her terribly. Good to read that she was warm and supportive to you, but will be so missed. Your Dad sounds lovely and I am sure Otis was well looked after while you were away, when you both meet again it will be an ecstatic greeting.

It sounds just like Lynne to support you through difficult times, you must have been a great comfort to each other. It's very, very sad that Lynne is no longer with us, we all miss her very much :'( :'( Enjoy having your boy back, give him a great big cuddle, he will have missed you just as much as you have missed him xxx
