Bouncer had his second set of jabs today. Was an absolute angel in the vets, didnt even notice the needle going in. Had a thourough check up & was fine throughout (apart from wee'ing on the vet table, but the vet said that was his faut for pressing on Bouncers bladder).
He also had some worming tablets, the easiest tablets I ever gave to a dog, he thought they where treats :D

All in all he was very well behaved.

How do your pups get on at vets?

    Good job Bouncer :)
Harley used to love the vets until this summer when she had to have emergency surgery ;( she will still happily go into the main reception, but just doesn't like going into the consulting rooms. We are working with the vets doing some work around this. She loves the vets, nurses and reception staff though :)

Lilly is spoiled rotten and always expects (and gets) a treat.
The more often you go, for varied reasons, I think the more relaxed the dogs yet.
Lilly's first walking in trip she froze on their floor. Too slippy looking! (even though it wasn't ::) )

Cooper looooooves his vet and the whole team there. He gets lots of attention, lots of treats and noticed nothing that is being done to him.
    We are very lucky!

Not a bother on Charlie, even after billions of procedures and general anaesthetics for cruciate surgery. He drags me through the door and goes through the place like a wild Tasmanian Devil with a sugar rush. Why the nurses say he is "as good as gold" when I have to leave him is beyond me - I reckon they must say that to anyone paying large bills! ;D

Glad you had a positive experience. Our vets is a practice of 3. Dexter was grand going ,never any problems ,until......I was going away and noticed he had some bumps on his head.My Husband took him to get checked over and he was seen by the vet we avoid ( English isn't terribly good and bedside manner, zero)Dexter got his head shaved,a needle stuck in him and a thermometer up his bum with very little preamble and he wasn't happy the next time we went at all :'(. He actively avoids the consulting room all this happened to him in.....
The worst thing was,it was all unecessary ,there was no serious skin infection ...he'd stuck his head in a bougainvillea bush and the thorns had prickled him ::)

Ugh, that's awful. It's so important to have a vet with a good manner. Our ferrets don't exactly enjoy their vet trips, but the vet is so good with them that it's all pretty easy. He always gushes about how beautiful they are and well-behaved, so we love him :D

Puppy is booked in for Monday to meet him for the first time. Everything crossed it's a positive experience!

The Vet that saw Bouncer was the same one that euthanised my last dog, so that was a bit wierd, but he is very very good with excellent bedside manners so I was pleased.

Edsel would go daily! He thinks it's a party. Always gets to go behind counter for pats and hugs. Feels he is the official greeter in the waiting room. Not so sure the other patrons are as happy with his enthusiasm as he is though! He once almost pulled the pants off a woman when my back was turned and he jumped to say hello to the Yorkie she was carrying.

Mira loves going to the vet :D
There are several staff dogs to chat to through the gate at the desk. The vets are all lovely and usually get down on the floor beside her if they need to examine her (licks and tummy rubs first though!). One of the vets is a good friend of many years, so that helps too.
