Hattie has just asked to go outside, I am sitting catching up on the forum when I hear a tap at the window, I look round and Hattie is on her back legs peering through tapping on the window with her front paw, she is so funny, she has been doing this for about 5 years, I'm sure she thinks she is human ;D Just for fun what funny things do your dogs do? xx
Re: Funny Things Dogs Do Clever girl Obi likes to press himself against hedges, low hanging tree foliage and large native grass clumps. With the hedges he leans into them and walks forwards along the hedge. With the hanging foliage and grass he'll weave in and out and round and round. It obviously feels nice. We call it 'self patting'. He has been known to ask to go out at 2am for a self pat along the hedge. Obviously his humans are poor pat deliverers and he has to turn to the plant kingdom for solace. He prefers conifers if he can get them. He also likes to suck on the face of his Lambie. A lot.
Re: Funny Things Dogs Do At lunchtime I let both dogs into the garden while I had a cup of coffee and started to read the paper. Tuppence eventually asked to come in again, but Wispa was still out exploring. After a few minutes I was aware of a draught and two dogs by my side. Tuppence had opened the door and let Wispa in. Now all I need to do is teach her to close it!
Re: Funny Things Dogs Do Well, I've now been told by two different people at different training classes that Harv has a 'Yes, that's right, I nailed it.' sort of strut that he does when he knows that he has done a certain exercise to the required standard. I've never noticed it (probably too busy doing the proud owner strut!) but I'm going to ask OH to keep an eye out for it
Re: Funny Things Dogs Do Penny likes to spoon in bed Seriously though she will curl up against you stretched out on her side like she's a person! When me and my OH are in bed and she's having cuddle time with us she will lie on her back in the middle of us and hold a toy inbetween her 'hands' and play with it like a baby would!
