;D I had Benson tied a few feet behind me...I heard him getting excited so turned video off quickly turned round to see him dancing round and dragging the tree stump! :)

I have a fantastic lead from ruff wear which enables you to use one end of the lead around your waist, handy to hook it over fence posts, trees etc with 2 dogs :)

Way to go with the tree Benson. What are you feeding hi Kate. ;D

When I retrieve with my dogs they have their own ball. They will not go for the other ball no matter what.

When we use dummies they don't have their own but they've learnt fom only going for their own ball not to go for the others retrieve and so wait their turn.

Maybe you could try them together in your garden. When we have new balls I throw them both then let the dogs decide who is having which ball and that's what they stick with.

Do you let Benson run in for the ball. If so I'd try throwing both balls allowing benson to run in and get one. When he is on his way back release Casper for his. Alternatively throw a ball for benson and send him then immediately for casper and send him. Keep the turn around quick so they don't have time to get interested in what the other has got. If you can get them to retrieve together like that you can then start to refine it until one sits while the other retrieves.

We have been working on your suggestion Jen, I hold Benson, throw a dummy for Casper, send him off, then throw one for Benson in a different direction, works a treat Benson always goes after the second dummy, and if he struggles, Casper will bring back his, wait for a signal then go off after the second one, if Casper finds it I make sure I drop an easy one for Benson so he is happy too :) :)
