Morning everyone... thought I'd share how our second night went. Poo & wee at 11pm.. down for the night with hot water bottle. Wee at 3am and downstairs again at 6.30am. Only minimal crying when I went upstairs No accidents that I can see. What a good little boy!

Think we will do this for a few days then push back the 3am to 3.30am and see how he goes.

PS. Some advice...I wear these lovely fluffy slipper boots (bet you all know where this is going....) and Bob just can't seem to get enough of them. If he's not pulling at them, he's asleep on them (see below pic). I guess it's like I'm wearing portable vetbed on my feet tee hee! Any tips for stopping him pulling at them (other than not to wear them!)? The dog is obsessed!

I KNOW lol! I've been mean and just sprayed them with chew deterrent.. it was getting ridiculous he was literally hanging of them while was walking and I had to sit cross legged as well.

He's just had a poo inside while I was reading your post - so quickly wiped it up with no fuss or reaction. He's not had his breakfast yet, I wasn't expecting a poo until afterwards! Whoops! Silly mummy. Note to self: must remember last poo and night, and first one of the day.

:) As we speak mine is curled up in his bed after breakfast and garden toilet waddle, with my old slipper boots ( not as lush as yours mind!) They had a hole in sole so I rolled them up and tossed them in his bed he cuddles them now no chewing just love, my husband says Lemmy is obviously very sick puppy as he wouldn't go near anything been near my feet! Charming !sorry can't help to stop puppy slipper accessory could be first steps to dog dancing could call it the "drag". X

I have some very similar boots and Willow likes a good chew while she relaxes at my feet. Luckily, she doesn't chase them when I walk, but trying to put them on in her presence is an exercise in hopping with one leg high in the air!

Well done on a clean night Bob! I'm still learning Willow's signals for needing a wee to ensure she always goes out. You'll get there over a short period :)

I'm afraid I gave up on slippers when Mira was wee. I resorted to crocs (sorry!) - less prone to shredding and more foot protection :D

That's good. 8) Hope tonight goes well too. With toilet training I just took my pup out about every 15-20 mins to start with then every 30 and so on - or whenever she started sniffing around or suddenly when quiet. It's a bit tiring to start with ::)

    The slippers - no chance!

When she gets bigger and bolder they'll be shredded! :)

A few days ago I bought some fluffy-topped slipper socks for my mother. When I took them out of the bag I was immediately mobbed by two labs who thought I'd bought them a new toy. Am now having second thoughts about buying some for myself!

Aw! That picture is TOO cute.

i just wanted to say that the first week was the hardest for us. We're into week 4 right now. The first few days were tough because our sleep was severely interrupted (Luna was going out every 2-3 hours starting around 9:30pm). It's the newness of everything, and they wake up more often, not realize where they are as safe, and move around. Moving around makes them have to pee!

Luna began getting up every 4 hours or so (so twice a night) at about 2.5 weeks. Right now, she's going to bed at 9:30pm, and waking us up to go outside at 3:00am and 5:30am (give or take). She's up for the day by 6:30am. MUCH better, much easier to deal with.

Hang in there! It gets easier a lot quicker than you think it will.

Hang in there, luckily for us kids had jobs over summer that meant 4 am start and 6 am start , so Bailey went to bed at 12, harry got him up at 3.30. Tas got him up at 5.30 we got up at 7 , within the second week, harry would leave note to tas, saying bailey too tired! Fourth week Tasmin saying running late, up at 6.45,
Now 17 weeks bed at 11, up at 7!!! Hang in therexxxxxx
The first couple weeks tough ! Worse than new baby who at least you can feed in bed!!!!
