When I got home last night, I got my usual greeting of wild, excited dogs and three wagging tails! Then....I spotted a little bit of chewing activity. Bailey tore off to his latest acquisition, the sight of which filled me with horror, but also made me smile when looking back. There he was, looking somewhat interested in a lever arch folder, paws already opening it, a significant amount of corner missing, and clutching a year and a half of my PhD work! Thankfully he found the content boring, and had not started to shred it! The amazing thing is, that this heavy folder was inside a storage box, also chewed earlier in the week by Bailey, the lid firmly on! People that say dogs are stupid really have no idea what they are talking about! Today, I'm taking Bailey to the university where I work, to enrol him on a course....any ideas as to what it should be?! I think, perhaps, something that involves excavation and digging!
Re: Bailey's about to make his mark in the world of education.... Oh my , thank goodness he didnt attack your work , cant imagine how devastating that would be and yes , it does sound like Bailey would do quite well at geology
Re: Bailey's about to make his mark in the world of education.... Oh my goodness!!! Archaeology I think... 8)
Re: Bailey's about to make his mark in the world of education.... Forensic archaeology - that way he gets to dig up lots of bones
Re: Bailey's about to make his mark in the world of education.... ;D But you were really lucky not to have the whole lot shredded. My wife spent many "happy" hours sticking her diary for the year back together to transcribe all the entries into a new one ..... .... more than once. :
Re: Bailey's about to make his mark in the world of education.... Hello everyone It was such relief not to have had the lot shredded, over a hundred research papers in the folder, plus my work...I think I would have cried for days if I had to stick that lot back together! Today I got home, and the house smelt particularly lovely....a set of fangs had gone through a canister if air freshener! Where Bailey got it from, only God knows! Forensic archaeology is definitely the course for Bailey...I'll get him enrolled for an early start! Can you imagine a graduation ceremony with a very excitable and energetic Labrador! He would definitely clear the celebratory cakes!
