Our dining room (aka dog room) has a lovely black speckled stainproof carpet, black leather sofa and black curtains....all entirely deliberate after having cream originally with black labs, much easier to colour co-ordinate the house to the dogs lol x

The only trouble with having a black sofa & a black lab is iff he has moved the biege cushions & curled up asleep he dissapears, like a furry ninja.

I have actualy sat on him once coz of his uber-camoflage.

That is a good point. Lilly used to have several black/dark towels to go as top layer on bed and beanie.
The number of times we either thought she was where she wasn't or vice versa is considerably less since we changed to a marroon vet bet cover and a brownish bed cover. SO much easier to locate her.
(though, to be honest, odds are she is on our bed anyway)
