We have had such a good day today Perfect poo's Perfect leave a treat from dropping it from shoulder height and waiting to be told to 'take it' and nearly perfect twirl (both homework from puppy training) Meeting a very large labradoodle who wasn't very friendly and coping well (we weren't so good at that) Recall when she saw some lads playing football (could have been a fluke) Having off lead mayhem with a 6 month old husky (first meeting) and had a fab time Having her first ever raw chicken leg.......swallowed whole!!! Should I worry??? Now having a content gorgeous little girl sleeping God I love my puppy
Re: Hollies day Sounds like a fab day!! She may sick the chicken up again - if she does, just let her get on with eating it a second time, hopefully a bit more daintily! Once she realises that no-one's going to try and steal it from her, she'll probably chill out and take her time. Willow tried to swallow her first one whole, where I was holding onto the end, but since then we've given them to her in her crate and she happily chomps her way through now. Dropping treats from shoulder height to be left? Impressive stuff!
Re: Hollies day That's FAB! I LOVE watching them play with other pups. Bob wore himself out after puppy training today by playing with a king charles spaniel cross poodle (name?!) who was 6 months old. They were rolling around like one big ball of dog for ages and ages... not one squeal or yelp... just happy play. Love it! Glad Hollie's poos seem to be firming up nicely too! Bob had a good day too in that regard.. let's hope it continues! It's been such a worry these past couple of weeks hasn't it? Enjoy your evening, we are going to have some very snoozy pups this evening! x

Re: Hollies day Wow, very impressive! Well done! Our two met a beautiful husky pup around 6 months at the vets on Saturday, his owners told us to let them approach him and they were all v friendly together, he did look a little overwhelmed by there being two of them but it didn't put him off. He had the most beautiful blue eyes. We start puppy classes next week, and at the minute just cracking on lead walking would be great! Although Jack already twirls before every meal and always has lol Lou x
Re: Hollies day King Charles/poodles are called Cavapoos, Really glad Bob is better today, you're right such a worry. Hollie barked at bella while on lead so I walked away and wouldn't let her go back until she had stopped barking, only took 2 goes then we let them off, very funny mad dash. With the chicken leg she chomped a little then just swollowed and kept it down??? Jack and barney's antics always make me smile, the beach sounded fab.

I ask because in other animals, a cross takes the first part from them male and the second part from the female. So a male tiger crossed with a female jaguar is a tiguar, but the other way round, it's a jagger. I've not heard the same applied to dogs, though. I wonder why.
