Ah just dropped Dexter off for his first groom....have to go back in and hour and a half,I was not allowed in the room with him ( ;D) so thought I should come home so i didn't look neurotic!....been back home half an hour and cannot believe how different the house feels without him in it! I must do his head in as I obviously chatter away to him all the time!!
Cup of tea then time to go back and collect ....yay!

A bit like when your child first goes on a solo playdate :)

My dog is not so lucky, he gets put in the bath, shampooed with whatever we have lying round, hosed down with the shower rose then dried with an old towel :) A lot less classy than the personalised spa treatment that Dexter is no doubt luxuriating in :)

I hope you get back a shiny, clean and lovely smelling doggy! :)

Oh Rachael, you must roll your eyes at me,I hope I give you a good chuckle in your day!i have to be honest the spa treatment is only occurring because his claws needed clipping and I will never, ever, ever be brave enough to do that myself !his previous bath was in the garden with the hose over him with me wetter than him so it's not 5 star all the way!
Just a note to end on,he came home with a blue bandana on.....a parting gift from his beautician!i have gotta photo and if I gets time this afternoon to navigate the putting on photos instructions I will send some through x

Oh dont you just miss them when they arent there :'(
I trust Dexter is looking suitably gorgeous now ( not that he didnt before ) :)

I had one attempt at putting Sam in the shower , a never to be repeated experience ::) ::)
Cue panic , and one sopping wet black lump , bursting open the shower door, flying into the bedroom spraying everything in sight , then sliding accross the kitchen floor, back to sitting room , soaking all in his path, its a bucket and sponge job outside these days ;D

Would love to see the photo with the bandanna :) Don't worry, I think it's great that Dexter now has his own beautician. ;D What every Lab deserves.

Besides, it'd be hypocritical of me to chuckle! Obi goes to daycare every weekday, and, believe me, I get a very hard time about that from everyone I know, LOL.

After hearing about the bathtime antics of Sam and Dexter I am counting my blessings that Obi is a breeze in the shower. He just stands quietly till it's all done. It's about the only thing he does do quietly, however... ::)

Yes lucky Dexter! Lady gets the garden hose I'm afraid, but using water butt water as it's warmer. Only very occasionally does she get an indoor shower because that involves me getting in the shower with her and that is really not good. ;D

The house is empty when they aren't there.

I have only once been at home for a couple of hours without Digby there - it feels very strange.

Have only ever hosed Digby down once - the dreaded fox poo, other than that his beauty regime consists of being clumsily brushed by my 3 year old. :)
