I don't think you could have asked for better behaviour from what you've said. ;D All those dogs, people and strange petting animals WOW. I hope it's given you confidence as well Angela. I don't think you need to worry about taking dexter places any more. As long as your armed with treats and youve got an escape route planned just incase he starts to get over whelmed I think you can take him anywhere. ;D Well done I'm really happy for you. ;D

[/quote] Yes they were....and rabbits and goats and a snake and behind me was a big white cockatoo....I let him have a good sniff at the gate and Chris said let him peep over the bales and I'll take a pic.......Er No! I had a premonitional ( made up word ;D)!vision of scattered bales ,crying children ,flying feathers and a yellow furry blur! My friends Hungarian Visla won reserve Bitch...she said Dexter would have cleaned up ( but she'll be biased ) as most of the labs were heavy to overweight....think she was forgetting he's got a docked tail though :'( :'( :'( we'd have been thrown out the ring....think we might have been chucked out of Waggiest Tail too ;D ;D ;D It was cloudy last night and we've had a few rain spatters over the last couple of days so this eve should be a bit cooler ..... Jen I thought about you a lot yesterday and your two xxxx I do feel better,I'm always going to be cautious and I do still tense up when a dog on lead just lunges at us...that happened a few times yesterday...so I think I'm going to train the lead tensing cue out of Click to Calm then if I can't help myself doing it at least it's not going to worry Dexter. I tell you what,I worried about going and then some of you things you see ;D there are so many reactive ,aggressive ,badly behaved little dogs and everyone laughs at them when they are carrying on....if a Labrador behaved like that the reaction would be very different ....... We saw 2 beautiful huskies that were connected to their owners belt,they were going nuts.....they were probably very hot ..we certainly were.they were twisting around and getting tangled up and then the wife wasn't looking and stepped backwards and fell over one of them.It would have been funny and we did have a chuckle about it in the car but at the time my heart went out to them.the dogs weren't bothering anybody,maybe they were just like us and wanted to try it out to see how their dogs got on.A lot of people were just there to see what would happen...so many dogs there yesterday would have been in a new place for the first time in a long time and most of them were having a great time ;D
