Lady and I met up with Leo the "grown up" Golden Retriever and Rory the 1-year old Golden Retriever today. As most of you know, Lady had elbow problems and an operation to fix them back in February, well although she was officially signed off fit in May she found Rory a bit of a trial and had also really lost all fitness and ran out of puff in no time flat. She's been improving steadily and lately I've been giving her daily aerobics to try and get her fitness back. Well Rory kicked off by flattening Lady and generally standing on top of her and giving her a good wash and a mouthing on the deck. Then Lady escaped and ran off into the rape losing Rory quite easily as she's well practiced in jinking and not losing her sense of direction. Out she came and Rory followed a bit later. Lady bobbed and got him going again and the hooned off along the footpath through the rape for a couple of hundred yards, then hooned back causing us all to leap to one side, then they both fell on their backs side by side legs in the air tails wagiing and paw boxing in the air. Lovely to watch. Then Lady got up to get Rory going again but ...... poor lamb was too tired! Great to watch and very uplifting. 8)
