Bouncer certainly lived up to his name this morning. I got up very early to start work & went into the kitchen to put the kettle on. Bouncer was in his crate so I thought I would let him into into the garden for business. He just raised an eybrow & stayed there in his nice comfy place.

Now remember I said it was very early? Well I was very very tired so I didnt check the kitchen thouroughly & decided to leave his crate open, shut the childgate to the living room & go upstairs to get dressed (was just in my dressing gown at the time).

When I was upstairs I heard the dogflap bang in the backdoor, aha, I thought he has gone to do a wee.

Then I came downstairs went into the kitchen & noticed a puddle on the floor, I thought he had wee'd himself but as I cleaned it up I though "this is a bit sticky". Looking around I saw an empty crisp packet on the floor, proper torn apart. This is when I realised somthing was up. I looked into the garden to see a deflated capri sun pouch, oh no, there are only 2 people in my house that drink that & those are my kids. I went into the garden & saw one of my kids lunch box's (actualy zipered cooler bag) lying there wide open with empty sandwich bags, crisp packets, yogurt pots etc scattered about. I found my other kids bag on the utility room top minus its sanwiches but amazingly with a lone surviving Banana.

Now I have told my wife not to leave stuff near the edge of the work surfaces & she swears she didnt, so either Bouncer has a secret stepladder or she is mistaken, im going to go with the ladder theory as I dont wana get shot.

I should of checked better myself.

When I left for work I was looking at one very smug looking Pup.

Lokking back on it now it is kinda funny, I didnt think so at the time.

I just feel sorry for the poor, rejected banana. If you're not considered edible by a Labrador what does that say about you?

Definitely a step ladder! Perhaps he's just hinting that he'd like packed lunches?

I had to move my ladder into the workshop and put the key on a higher hook.

Hilarious. I am so afraid for when Rue is tall enough to reach the countertops!

My most recent food story: I was walking down the stairs holding a plate of wonderful, glorious sushi I had just went out and got, with Rue following closely behind. I turned slightly to steady my drink and accidentally dropped the plate. The sushi toppled to the floor. And Rue gobbled up every single piece in 5 seconds flat, and I'm not even exaggerating. I wouldn't have eaten it anyway, of course, but seeing her eating it made me that much more upset, haha.

Tears may have happened. I wanted that sushi, dang it!

Oh dear. At least it was a healthy treatr
Have to admit I would have sacrificed the sushi for my drink as long as it was a glass of wine.
