Well it's official Rolo is being treated for Giardia! Feel so bad for him cos I was concerned I was feeding him too much causing his runny poos went to the vets today, the last time we went (4 weeks ago) Rolo weighed 5kg he now weighs 9.5kg! I have been feeding him the same amount as a 5kg puppy :( poor lamb. So he has had his first treatment and a proper size meal (still only 80% of manufacturers recommendation).

Things have been so good. Puppy class last night, not much in the way of teaching but there was 2 pups his age a small terrier and a sheep dog and they played constantly like pups should. The terrier was a bitch and she had both Rolo and the other dog constantly at her. It was all good tho so nice to see him being a pup.

He is now in the bigger crate, much roomier and no accidents which I was worried about.

He is going to the groomers Saturday morning, his nails are soooo long. I am worried about him already but the woman said to leave him at 9am and he will be ready about 12pm she isn't going to rush take it nice and steady.

So it's all good. It's so good to be on the other side of lots of things that have been worrying me and Rolo has taken it all in his stride. :)

Aw poor Rolo - let's hope he's fully recovered soon :) It's nice when you find the cause of problems, least you can deal with them all now rather than worrying.

    Onwards and upwards!

Glad to hear you have found out what the problem is, and that he is getting proper treatment. Things should improve soon from now on.

Is giardia contagious? I seem to remember something about dogs with giardia shouldn't be with others... and that they should take it a bit easy to begin with, not charge around too much, but probably that is just impossible with a young pup!

I'm surprised the groomers say they need 3 hours to clip your puppy's nails, that should only take about a couple of minutes really...

You must be so relieved to have found out what the matter is!! :)
