I have a Lab that will be 3 years old in February. All in all he has been pretty good except for the fact he takes things he's not supposed to have. ie Things off a desk, paper out of the trash, etc. This has been happening more lately. He started doing it more while I'm in shower after letting him out in the morning (I'm usually the only one up at the time). I started putting him in his cage with a treat, after I let him out, while I'm in the shower, but sometimes he just sits in there and barks. He has free range of the house, except bedrooms, at night and does not touch a thing. Unfortunately, I'm the one person that he seems to pull this with the most. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks!
Re: Need Help Hello, welcome to the forum! My boy used to be like this. I trained a "give" cue, which at least gets the stuff off him quickly, and then just have to keep the surfaces clear. Over time, with limited opportunities to nick stuff, the behaviour faded to a less mad level, but is still there.
