Took Murphys bandage off yesterday and the cut looks really good. But today he has gone lame on it! Hes licking it loads and particularly after hes been sat or lead down he badly limps and wont put any weight on it. There is nothing that i can see on the paw. Such a pain!
Re: Gone lame! Oh no, poor Murphy :'( hopefully it's just because the wound is open. I would check with the vets if he's still the same in the morning x

Re: Gone lame! Is it the wound he's licking and that's making him lame ? A dog obviously will lick a wound to keep it clean but if he's excessively licking it could be a sign of an infection. However if it looked good yesterday when you took the bandage off I wouldn't have thought an infection would've taken hold so quick. :-\
Re: Gone lame! I took him to the vets and she thinks he's either sprained it or where the flesh underneath is healing it's a bit sore and he's being a wimp. He's got rimadyl to take. He keeps going from limping to not and I half think he's doing it for attention!
