Tatze put weight on after her spay, so she has been on a diet. I took this photo today and I think she's just right now, do you? She's 19 months and 28Kg.
Re: Tatze has been on a diet. We had the same with Harley after her season (plus I found out hubby was feeding her double the amount for breakfast than she usually has!). Harley has a similar body shape to Tatze and personally I think they look ok. Harley is now 16 months and weighs 27.4kg. The vet was happy with her a few days ago

Re: Tatze has been on a diet. If she were my dog I wouldn't want a further 2kg off her either. I think she's fine as she is but another half a kilo wouldn't hurt, just to get a bit more tuck-up in the tummy (I would say the same about my dog!!). Views will depend on the activities people are doing... If you were a mad keen Agility competitor then you'd definitely be aiming for the 26kg. They like to see rib all the time (a bit too thin for a Labrador I would say).

Re: Tatze has been on a diet. Charlie is about the same age as Tatze, a similar build, and 22 1/4 inches, and male - obviously. His absolutely ideal weight is 27.5kgs - at this I can see the very end of his rib outlined when he is standing straight, and the outline of all of his ribs when he is turning or sucking his tummy in when sniffing or eating. Even my vet thinks this is ok, and he is hard to please. If Tatze had 2kgs off she'd be far too thin, I think.
Re: Tatze has been on a diet. I'm no help, I'm afraid. She looks fine to me, although I don't think she'd look too skinny with another half kilo off, either. But, I have to say I LOVE that tail! What a bushy beauty!
