Bought one yesterday and brushed a whole dust pan full of hair off of Rue. She has been shedding like crazy the past few days and I keep finding hair EVERYWHERE! Hope my family and friends don't mind getting a little dog hair with their Christmas gifts as it's impossible to keep it off the wrapping paper!

Do you feel it does a good job getting ALL the hair? I'm thinking I'll have to go for another round this weekend.

Rolo doesn't seem to shed much fur. I dont think he does anyway! Still love to give him a gentle brush.

Rue has had two really bad shedding periods ...once at the beginning of September and currently. Maybe because of the season/weather changes? Otherwise, she doesn't too bad.

How does Rolo do with the brush? Rue HATES it. She does a little better with the Zoom Groom brush as it's rubber and more gentle.

I had a zoom groom for my last Lab and he adored it! He used to bounce and wag when I got it out and I felt it was good at removing loose hair. Molly however hates it so I just use a human comb, but she doesn't seem to moult as much.

Gotta agree with Tom. Can't get past Sara's mouth. It's the highlight of her day ;D

He is really good with it. He tries to get it in his mouth for a chew but mostly just lets me get on with it.

I am a great fan of the Zoom Groom. Molly is not a great fan of being brushed so I smear some peanut butter on the downpipe from the gutter and while she is "dealing" with that I give her a goos going over with the Zoom Groom. What I like about it is that is soft enough that I can be quite vigorous without worrying that I will scratch her but it is very effective.

Mine both tried to play with the zoom groom so I trained them with treats.

First of all one sweep = treat, building up to full scale groom = treat.

    :)

Like the idea of training her to tolerate it with treats. It's a pain to do right now.

I'm glad she did well with it! And yes, the amount of hair it brings up is crazy! Rue's coat looked so much healthier when I was done.
