I did think no dogs on the sofa for about a day. Despite my Dad patting Charlie while I said this, saying "don't worry lad, that won't last a week".

No dogs on the sofa means you've got to sit on the floor to cuddle the dog. :-\ Then no-one gets to sit on the sofa.

I found Rue on one of my good blankets last night. I let her stay ... I didn't have the heart to move her!

Exactly! And with my bad neck ....18 months later you think ...whaaaaaat? No one is comfy!
Dex was never coming up because i didn't want a lunatic jumping on visitors but by the time he did,he understood the rights and wrongs of it all ....
Shadow is making the whole sofas scenario look so cute ...you may well be in trouble fiona xxxx

A surprisingly small number of visitors mind. Ok, mind sufficiently not to come again. It's sort of self policing over time. You end up with the visitors that don't mind sharing a sofa with a hefty, energetic labrador. It works....
