Hi all, I'm after some advice please,
Every time we take hollie out for a walk her poo is always runny (normal when at home but a little soft)
I've been informed that its adrenaline induced but will it always be like this? Its a real bugger to pick/scoop up!!
    Thanks in advance

"Cousin" Georgie was a bit like that.
She is also a poop eater.
She has got a little better with age and a change in food - difficult to know which had more impact. Think she is now on JWB but we all know food is a completely different kettle of fish.

Brodick has normal poos at home but he always has a small runny poo when he gets off lead up the hills. I was told it was adrenaline induced too...

Its funny how Lilly can always squeeze out a poop on an off-lead walk "off schedule".

Inca did this a bit when we first started taking her for walks. I think part of that was stress induced though as she didn't like pooing when she was on the lead. She's got over her modesty now

I can't give advice but this is very interesting. I find anything new poo related info interesting, is that wrong ?
I'd guessed stress or excitement could probably make them looser but didn't know it was fact. My two can be looser when we walk with my friends dogs and they will always go even if technically they shouldn't need to.

I would think it could improve for Hollie with age but it's just a guess sorry. :-\

Max always has a poo within minutes of starting an off lead walk and it is always much softer than his other poos. I've always assumed that it was excitement that caused it! :)

I've just remembered something you could try Protexin Pro Fibre. It's a fibre supplement with pro/prebiotics. I know Mags (Boogie) has recommended it on 'loose stool' threads before. I've not used it but I did use Protexin Biopremium, which is a pro/prebiotic, on my old lab who had regular bouts of colitis and it helped him a lot.

If holly has softish poo in general the fibre supplement might help all round. You can get it on Amazon or www.vetuk.co.uk
