Hi everyone, been a few days since I've posted so I thought I'd bring you up to date. Izzy was 12weeks yesterday, and seems to be doing ok. I still worry over silly things like am i feeding her enough, is she having too much/too little exercise, will she ever be toilet trained?!?! But I think all in all she's coming along nicely. She can now jump on the settee, so there's no escape! Still up once in the night with her, but as I would probably be going to the loo anyway,it's no trouble. Eating well, drinking well. Odd wee accident inside (my fault), but hourly outside. Training ok, I've been a bit lazy last few days, but puppy classes start soon, so should motivate me! Taking her into the big wide world today for first time so we shall see how she goes. Still howls when left in her crate during day, so that definitely needs work.
    How's everyone else's pups doing?

    Hi Wendy!

Pleased to hear Izzy is doing well!! It sounds like you're doing a fab job!

Bella was off the lead again yesterday, we went to the park and I was brave and let her off the lead again, even though it was fairly busy! But she was really good and even played with some other dogs ( they were all coming after me for the chicken, they could smell it ha ha!). Toilet training is still a work in progress but she slept from 10.30pm until 7 am this morning ( longest yet) I got up in a panic worrying if she was ok, as she usually wakes me!! She was fine!!! I think the park tired her out, since she's been going out the biting also appears to be reducing ( fingers crossed). Although she did nibble on my friends skirting board and poo on her kitchen floor yesterday ha ...:(

She's also been socialising a lot and played with other dogs and little girls!!!

She has a thing about chasing her tail in circles though ha, does Izzy do that?

I'm back to work tomorrow so worried about that but I'm sure all will be ok...!! We have a plan in place so she'll get a visit every few hours and in the afternoon she will go and play with a CavaPoo up the road! ;D

I'm also taking Bella out every hour at 12 weeks, when/how do we start increasing this??

Just got back from pets at home. We took Izzy and it went well. We had a wander round the retail park then went in the shop. Loads of people stopped to say hello and she was very good. Also a few other doggys to say hello to. She was great in the car in her cage too, so a very successful trip out!

They all do that, Bouncer is 5 1/2 months old & 17kg so when he does it stuff goes everywhere.

That's good :) Bella went for some more recall training and then for a Sunday roast - she slept, we ate ;)

She was very popular, lots of children and adults came to say hello, she does tend to back away at first and gets a bit scared.

Unless it's a dog- She met a 15 month black lab who was bounding around in the pub and thought she was great :) lots of awwws going on!! ;D

She's just done a little wee on the carpet tho and went out at 6 and again at 7 :(

So after a good day she decides to do her devil dog routine, biting, chasing about at 100 miles ago, pinching washing and generally being very naughty! Finally got her to sleep!

Ah, good old Pets at Home!

We went there every Saturday for about six weeks just for a bit of socialising when Monty was little - of course we bought something every time so they seem happy to put up with the odd accident - other half squeezed one of those big rubber chickens, it gave this huge squark and poor Monty weed himself just a little bit in fright.

Wouldn't dream of taking him there right now - he would steal everything he could reach and terrify the rabbits.

Pets at home is amazing value for money in terms of puppy socialisation. Mind, I skipped it during the teenage months, Charlie is sensible enough to go back now (20 months) - with only minor pilfering rather than the smash and grab he used to indulge in. I use it for "don't wee inside even if lots of other dogs already have" training.
