Will have to keep it short cause he can wake up any minute

    First day together:
Picked him up in Buenos aires and flew to chile w him in the cabin. He did great.also lots of socialization in airports and flight. He slept most of the night and didn't cry at all

He has started to follow me every step I make which makes cooking showering etc difficult since I live alone but I like the cnx we are making. Will have to practice alone time thoug

He has learned to sit for food and don't attack his food. He likes playing and eating but kissing and hugging is what he likes the most. Biting is very soft

    Overall he is just awesome

Main and only challenge is toilet training. He is pooing outside cause I managed to catch him inside on 2 preparations and brought him outside and rewarded him afterwards. Now he is going outside to poo

Peeing is a different story. Didn't mange to notice first 3 pees in time and once I liftd him out he had finished. He is peeling 70 pct of pees inside 30 pct out. after naps drinking eating etc I have him outside and wait and wait. Eventually I go inside and he follows me and pees. I a, cleaning well each time after him and locations are very random

    Any advice?
-- leave him outside until he pees?
-- make rewards even higher value
-- pay even more attention to his behavior pre peeing? Poo behavior so easy to spot

    Thx

Hi, take him out every 15 minutes for a wee. Watch him like a hawk and take him if he is sniffing around even if you just took him out. Take him out when he wakes, after he eats, when he has been playing, had a drink - just make it a priority for the time being. Lots of praise when he weed outside but NO telling him off if he gets it wrong - he is just a baby.
Look at puppy articles here for toilet training.
    Good luck!!! :)

Yep they wee a lot more frequently, Bella is 12 weeks and now can go every hour ( different at night time). Take puppy out all the time and loads of praise when he goes, there will still be accidents inside for some time, use simple solution, it's your best friend :)

It's improving a bit now. I can't spot when he is about to pee But I'm getting a good sense for when it will happen so I take him out and just wait. Usually it doesn't take long to happen, it seems like he has now understood that peeing outside is very okay ;)

Glad the trip was good. Sounds like he is going very well :) The peeing will improve, and meantime you'll perfect your floor cleaning technique.

Just warning you - someone is going to insist on photos soon ;)

    Oh wow!
    He is adorable :) :)

When he wees outside give him a really good reward - Julie recommends 3 treats! - and if he wees indoors, ignore and clean up with as little fuss as you can. Its recommended to use a non-ammonia based solution - such as Simple Solution or something similar available where you live.

    Did I say....he is adorable! :) :) :)

    He's gorgeous!

When you take him outside to wee use a command too, as well as giving him a treat afterwards. He should then soon associate the command with weeing and then do what he has been taken outside to do on command (or soon after!).

    What a lovely pup!

Yes, just take him out, take him out, take him out. And wait. He'll pee in the garden, then, hurrah! Big party.

Oh yes. Three. It must be three and the pup needs to know it's three. Count 'em out - one, two, three. Make it really obvious. It works wonders - promise. :)

He is soooooo cute. Makes me even more excited to get mine in April. Still a long wait though. He is just adorable. Give him lots of hugs and snuggles. They don't stay small for very long at all.

He's lovely, reminds me a little of Kenzi when I brought her home. Is it just me that has to really make an effort not to look at puppy sites, or breeders pages after seeing pics like that?! ;)
