Re: Mentally Stimulating 9 Month Puppy Hi Markieee, I've not been around too much since you posted ...I've got 2 experiences of whining.... In the car when we first got him....made your ears bleed ;D After trying to solve it with the clicker ,praise when he stopped and someone sitting in the back with him,none of it worked so I just got on with it and ignored him.....we had a few distressing journeys but he caught on quickly and not a peep out of him. Also recently I started a class with him,he's 2 now,we had to secure the dogs lead over the arena fence and go and look at a diagram....so I moved away...the creating out of him was unbelievable....I've said it somewhere else I didn't recognize him as my dog The trainer told me to ignore him and the second he stopped ,praise and reward him....it took about half the course but he's stopped now.... In both cases ,one at 5 months and one at 2 years....ignoring and then praising quiet worked Best wishes Angela
