I'm in two minds... I usually get Rocket a present at Christmas, a hide bone or suchlike, but I'm under no illusions as to whether she understands or not. Clearly she doesn't. And I do wonder how it makes me come across to the rest of the academicallyinclineddogsareniceenoughbutthey'rejustdogsafterall family. So what should I do? Get her a pressie, or save my money?
Re: Christmas Presents Riley will definitely get a present and so will Ben's parents black lab Monty If nothing else it'll keep them entertained while we recover from Christmas dinner.....
Re: Christmas Presents Yes agree. Present is a must. A good bone to grind up will keep her off the table for a bit!
Re: Christmas Presents Well that looks like it's decided then. Rocket will have her own pressie under the tree. Now the next dilemma is what to get her?
Re: Christmas Presents Kongs, every time. Fill full of yummy stuff and then deep freeze. Feed as a kongsicle. Keeps them happy for ages. Or, if in a hurry, smear the inside of an empty kong with marmite or peanut butter.
Re: Christmas Presents I have a feeling I tried her with a king a few years ago and she didn't really understand what it was for. I could be thinking of my last dog the psycho springer though...
Re: Christmas Presents personally I've never been sure what a king is for ;D perhaps I too am a psycotic spaniel!

[/quote] Well it is the symbolic leader of the other peaces and can move in any direction but only one square at a time. When it is captured the game is over.
Re: Christmas Presents I was picturing a classic Kid In The School Nativity style king with a paper crown...together with a confused looking Labrador!
