My breeder said the same things about the color fashion running in cycles. I was given a choice between a very pale pup (Daisy) and a darker pup, and didn't hesitate to choose the pale color. And this was sight unseen! I'd told the breeder all about my lifestyle and my other dogs, and asked him for the puppy most likely to turn into a mellow, couch potato. Daisy's lovely color is only one of her great qualities. (Am I biased or what??) One disadvantage of the yellow Labs, especially the very pale ones, is they don't hide the dirt at all! ;D

He's going through a shed at the moment (so it begins...) and his hair shows up SO much worse than Willow's. In fact, Willow is covered in his hair!
Re: Willow and Shadow are growing up ... photos I have some hilarious friends who love yellow labs so much they have invested in beige upholstery, carpets, the lot just to avoid the yellow hairs showing up! Much as I would love to disguise Inca's hairs I don't think I will be opting for black carpets, etc any time soon!
