Evening everyone We have successfully de-crated Jack & Barney during the day now so they just sleep in there. As they don't have a lunchtime meal I want them to be left with a Kong when they are left in the afternoons, we have small ones but they don't last long now lol. I'm not sure whether to get them a medium or go straight for a large? They weigh around 30kg now and they haven't damaged the small ones in any way. Thanks in advance. Lou x

Re: What size kong for 8.5 month old pups? Bella's only 14 weeks and she's got 2 large puppy Kongs , 2 small, a medium and a large adult one someone gave me, mix it up a bit ;D
Re: What size kong for 8.5 month old pups? I generally use the medium red kongs but do have a large. I only use that if I need her to be occupied for more than 20 mins.
Re: What size kong for 8.5 month old pups? I use small and medium ones. I have a large one, but it doesn't last as long as a small and a medium...I tend to use the small kongs a lot, spreading the food out amount lots of small kongs just gives more chewing time.

Thanks everyone, I think I'll try two large ones then I can put some chunks of carrot and banana in too as I think if I gave them some of their kibble they would cry at dinner time lol, I swear they know if I give them 20g less if they've had extra treats Jack has started sitting next to me and tapping me on the shoulder/arm as soon as it goes past 6.30 pm, like he literally can't wait any longer. Way too cute x
Re: What size kong for 8.5 month old pups? You aren't supposed to use the adult ones until a certain age. It might be 9 months. I use the puppy ones, small and medium, she's 8.5 months too.
Re: What size kong for 8.5 month old pups? Bailey has large and medium, not quite 8 minths. One medium one been using 3 months , split! He bounces large one in floor to pop the food out, sometimes I come in after two hours and still sleepy and kong untouched! The puppy ones destroyed early and he's not a voracious chewer!
