    Hello everyone.
Just wondering how long to use the new ferminator I've just brought ? Never heard of it before i joined this site so just got it home out the box and had a quick ten min in the garden with each dog.
So just after a few do's & dont's from people who have used this product before and suggestions would be really appreciated.
    Thanks steve.

    Gently to start with :)

Riley loves ours, he has a coat on the wiry side of labs, some you meet are silky soft. The furminator is brilliant for him but I have known people find it harsh so go gently and see how much hair comes out. We're slightly firmer with ours to push into the thick coat but my friend just runs it lightly over her dog and the hair comes straight out.

I hope that makes sense :)

We also use a rubber washing up glove to pick up all the loose hair off his coat. Weird I know

I agree - it's great, but don't use it too hard or too often.

    Thanks for the quick reply's.
I've just gave them all a quick 10 minuites think I'm going to do this every other day for the two older dogs for a couple of weeks then once a week. I can see results straight the way it's worse on the top of there back legs.
Where has this been all my life!!
    Steve.

Hi Steve, it is a great tool, but don't get too carried away, or you will end up with a bald patch

I`d heard of them but never used one, just google them and there appear to be loads of different types . Sams coat is quite wiry too apart from round his face/ears region which is lovely and soft .
