Izzy is 16 weeks and still wees in the house every now and then. Some days it can be 3 times, somedays nothing. I know that its my fault sometimes, but others, she can have gone outside, come back in and wee'd again inside! Im beginning to despair!

Do you go outside with her and praise every time she goes? I did this until Harley was about 6 months old. If I'm outside I still praise her lots. I would be taking Izzy out at least every hour as she is still really young and still has minimal bladder control.

It's perfectly normal, don't worry. Like you say, most of the time it's our fault for thinking they're more advanced than they are and not giving them the opportunities they need. Other times, it seems to be for no reason. But it gets less and less often until you realise you haven't mopped anything up in ages. Keep doing wha you have been - praising profusely for doing it in the right place and ignoring doing it inside. It will clear up, I promise. 16 weeks is still very young :)

Bella still does it too ( a few poos as well!!) and I keep taking her out ( granted my upstairs downstairs house is not ideal AT ALL!!) but she'll go outside but also inside but never in the living room now, always takes herself to the kitchen - thoughtful ;D ( wipe able) she's been 5 times in last 2 hrs so I'm worrying we might have a wee problem and we've only just got over the runny poos ....... I praise loads but think my 'be clean' cue is redundant as I keep saying it ..l before..during....after .ll.lMaybe back to a new word whilst she's going and a click and treat ,

I've just been to pets at home tonight for more simple solution floor was wet and stinky when I got home ... I can cope with cleaning it up as long as we are moving forwards ..we will get there. Did I mention I hate my house?!?! Can't wait to move in May, big garden backs on from living room ;D

Well thats a relief, i thought it was my fault. I suppose i was expecting too much, and thought she could go longer, which she does sometimes. She goes through the night ok, and if i leave her in her crate for a few hours, shes ok, but then if shes been playing, she could go twice in 10 minutes!

Yep rod for my own back, Bella never gets shut in her crate so if she's left for 2.5-3 hours sometimes she will wee on kitchen floor, but never at night in her travel crate but I'd rather clean it up than have her distressed , will take longer but so be it ;D

We've been round and round with our Bella. She's 22 weeks now - officially 5 months - and for the most part she does fine and can hold it - but some things are out of her control, and we just quietly clean up the messes when they happen. She goes to work with my hubby every day, and depending on how busy things are - sometimes she is in her crate for a long time, and even when she asks to come out - he can't always take her RIGHT then. So she has peed in her crate a couple times. And sometimes it just takes to long to grab a coat and her leash and take her out...so she'll go at the back door :-[ she holds it as long as she can...

At home, she gets to go outside by herself for potty breaks in our yard...but sometimes she goes out there and just goofs...and forgets to go potty....and so she'll be in and out several times in a row ::) Usually when this happens...I stop what I'm doing, go out WITH her, tell her to go potty...she does...then we come back inside and do some training games because she is obviously bored. We find that sometimes at bed time she'll do the same thing....goof off outside while hubby is getting fire wood, and comes back in with him....just to need to go again 2 minutes later as we're trying to settle into bed. ::)

silly girl...I just keep trying to remind myself...she's really only a 3-4 year old pre-school kid...not capable of making quality decisions, and easily distractable! It's my job to keep her on task and remind her what the acceptable behaviors are. ;D
