Hi Pippa - I was looking for a page on not pulling on the lead and couldn't find one.

    :)

(I have got my two lead walking nicely thanks to lots of excellent advice on here - but I often get asked how and would like to point to the right place :) )

Where have the other sections of the old forum gone eg Labradors in service? I want a Gypsy update!! I'm finally back on line- my ipad and iphone wouldn't display the page properly or let me upload a picture..... so I'm on the good old fashioned lap top!!

I use an invisible leash which works fine, but when put on a regular leash he all around me - basic training tips on leading 2 years old now. He was too strong for my arms so got the invisible leash, but vet offices don't like you using this as most don't understand the leash

I'm not sure what you mean by an invisible leash? If you're referring to an e-collar this a very aversive way to train your dog and relies on punishment to teach the dog what you want by punishing what you don't want. There are risks to this way of training in that you can end up punishing something other than the action you intended to punish which in turn can be detrimental to the dog/owner relationship.
There are several ways to teach loose lead walking using positive reinforcement which is a great way of training your dog! The article above talks about all of this in more detail :)

I'm overhauling the heel/pulling info on the website at the moment. It's a bit muddled and there are 8 articles altogether, where there should really only be two. I'll put a link up when I've finished it. :)
