Training Treats: Should you use them?

    Whenever anyone calls treats 'bribes' our puppy class trainer says, "No - they are not bribes at all, think of them as 'information' to help the dog learn."

    i wish I'd had that comment at my fingertips last night on the beach with the dogs and my friend, who was musing about how things have changed since he had a dog, as in those days dogs weren't 'bribed' back to you with food...he had musings on the need for whistles too. Didn't need them in the old days ;D
