I'm in the camp where I'd rather my dogs didn't bark at all. However, living in an apartment block, there's always lots of random noises from corridors, outside etc. I'm working on desensitising my two, but I think they will always bark at the unfamiliar. Or, to be more precise, it's Willow that always starts the barking and Shadow joins in. A couple of times they've tried to bark to get a treat when I'm cutting meat or something similar. You can imagine that doesn't work out the way they'd like, so it's being extinguished ;D

Willow has a proper gruff woof. I'm waiting for Shadow's voice to deepen. It's really quite embarrassing at the moment

Rourke had a 'little boy' bark, it was quite sweet but just as lovely he has a really deep, male bark now. I was intrigued that his voice broke :)
