Last Saturday Hattie and I went on a very long walk, we headed out of a field and walked along a country road about when 30 or more horsemen and woman in their very fine hunting clothing appeared from a field with about 30 or so Hounds about 20 meters ahead of us. There was the sound of the horn, four wheel drives appearing from both directions, lots of people and two quad bikes so a real variety of sounds, smells, sights and a very high level of activity that neither of us had witnessed before. Quite thrilling to see but I hope they were only drag hunting. Hattie was an absolute star, walked to heel on a slack lead and just watched the whole event as we walked steadily behind as they headed off to the Estate hosting the event. I was extremely proud of my girl Hattie makes me realise that my dog training can't be that bad even if a certain dog that shall remain nameless makes me feel otherwise : xxx
Re: The Hunt Well done Hattie. ;D. Maybe you should try drag hunting with Charlie but just do a big circle. Then he gets his fun of racing after a scent but you control where he ends up. Could be fun. ;D
