Rab C Willow! Brilliant. Never seen one of those before. Are they standard issue over there?

So it seems! It's a bit annoying because it keeps slipping down her shoulders and before she goes to the loo, I have to make sure it's clear of her bits, but I'm more irritated by it than she is, so I guess that's a bonus :)

For those overseas peeps, the reference is a very old, very Scottish, TV character called Rab C Nesbitt who always wore a string vest:

I hope she's behaving better than Rab ever did too.

Well, she's been so quiet the last few days, we've let our guard down. She had her dinner and she'd taken to just standing around by her bowl afterwards, looking dejected. But, of course, she's now feeling better. I suddenly heard a noise from down the hallway, went down there and J had left the door to our bedroom open. Willow was making herself comfy, upside-down on the bed. ::)

The vest looks cool on Willow. Not so much on the bloke....! What a great idea for post-op wound protection.

Just for Pongo. I think his crush on Harley is safe for now ;)

Pongo thinks Willow looks just lovely in her new outfit. Although of course Harley is still his best girl, and he thinks of Willow more as a little sister.

    Aw....she is so cute.
Or as Rab may say...."she's a doll"

Would you be able to stop it slipping by tying a soft tape or bandage through the holes a little higher up her neck? Without it strangling her? :D

I've never seen a dog string vest before - does Willow try to chew it at all? It looks much better on her, even though she clearly doesn't approve!

Hope she's really back to normal now but not being too adventurous. Good luck with sorting out the vet.

The first one she had had a tape at the neck, but it still slipped down and got tight lower down her shoulders. It's that Pantene look that makes her coat so shiny :D

Not really. She had a bit of a suck at the neckline yesterday evening when it slipped down, but that's the only time she's shown any interest. She looks put out in the pics, but I think that's more the fact that I was taking photos instead of giving her her dinner which I'd just put in her bowl :D

Fiona, I have just been catching up, what a terrible time you and Willow have had, just awful but at least now she is feeling much better and that's the main thing.

Best wishes from us xxx :)

I've put her collar on this morning and looped a shoelace through the vest in several places and around the collar. It seems to be holding well :)

I would think the shirt would actually be comforting to her. My mom's dog is terribly reactive to thunder/fire works and such...and so she got her a "thundershirt" it's a snug fitting t-shirt type thing...and it helps reduce the anxiety as they feel snuggled and safe....has to do with pressure points I think...

I've seen surgery shirts for dogs before, never a stringy one like Willow's but with the same premise...provides comfort to the dog, and protects the incision. Again, wouldn't probably work for a leg wound...but great for things that on the body trunk itself.

Hugs to Willow, hope she is having a splendid time of it now. :*
