Just a quick question, Indy has suddenly developed a habit at barking at other dogs to get their attention and play with him. Its not aggressive barking but once he starts he doesn't stop until the dog takes notice of him, tends to be more with a bigger dog. I don't want other owners thinking he is aggressive with his barking, his tail is always wagging and it obvious he wants to play. Is any one else experiencing the same with their puppies. is it a phase or something I need to sort out sooner rather than later if so, any training tips?

    TIA everyone

    xx

Sounds like excitement to me but not a desirable behaviour really so try and nip it in the bud now by using distraction , anything like a squeaky toy in your pocket which will grab his attention , then when you have that attention , give him a treat . Decide on your command word , maybe Stop , or Quiet , and squeak the toy as you say it until he learns what the command means, it wont take long, good luck :)
