Hi Folks. Just to introduce myself - I'm Bouncer and my chocolate lab is Tara (in case you were confused!). Tara is 15 weeks old, and taking well to basic puppy training, but cannot do heel yet! She has eaten all of my garden plants, and dug up the roots, and has fallen into the (small) garden pond once. She also likes to eat the carpet - as did my old Cocker Spaniel.
Hope to be an active forum member.

Re: Hi from Tara and me

Hullo! Strange name for a human ;)

At about that age, my two had both fallen in a friend's swimming pool and Willow had dug up most of my plants, dragging various specimens into the house. I don't have carpets, but if I did, I'm sure they would enjoy a good chew. Instead, they like to chew the walls

Heel work, like everything, is a long process of training and will have highs and lows of performance, as I'm learning having been smug at their great progress a while back!

We love pictures here, so please don't be shy and share the beautiful Tara around :)

    Welcome from a fellow newbie.
I decided this morning that I'm giving up with plants whilst Monty was dragging the very last yukka that survived the winter, across the lawn, sans pot and most of it's leaves!
    He's a great gardener ::)

Hi from me and Molly, another keen gardener. ;) I recommend shrubs that don't mind heavy 'pruning' and hardy perennials that can cope with being 'cut back'!

    Helloooo!
And welcome from me and Lilly.
Lilly sympathises with the dip in the pond too. She stepped gaily onto a lillypad when she was but a little pupster and promptly sank requiring a little help back out. Luckily we were to hand. And there was never a repeat performance.
    Hope you enjoy the forum.
    Intrigued about your name.....

Welcome from me (Heidi) and my 6 month old milk chocolate girl Bella....she took an unplanned dip in a pond at about 10 weeks old... ::) and is just now enjoying the play of shallow puddles!

    Welcome to you both!

Re: Hi from Tara and me

    Thanks for the welcome folks.

The nickname Bouncer comes from a time I was somewhat unwell due to severe anaemia. I was bouncing off the walls of a long corridor at work, which is an experience I have tried not to repeat. The nickname stuck, with some people who were watching me, and not helping!

Tara is the latest in a line of Avengers/New Avengers character names (the last one was my Cocker Purdy).

Gorgeous girl. Molly's advice to Tara is to aim nearer to the base of the plant to get a really satisfying crunch. ;)
