Please can anyone offer me any ideas as to what would cause my girl to be dribbling and licking her lips constantly, as if Im just about to feed her? I was out for a good part of the day and she had access to the back garden all the time I was out, I cant see anything wrong in her mouth?
Re: Continuous dribbling Poor lass! Check her mouth for something wedged into the top part of her jaw (across the roof of her mouth - have a feel in there) of for a broken or discoloured tooth.

Re: Continuous dribbling As Julie mentioned above dogs can dribble if they are stressed, so something could have upset her whilst you were out. Or she could have got hold of something in the garden that was bad tasting and that is why she is salivating so much.
Re: Continuous dribbling I dont think Ive seen any toads in the garden before but surely she would also be displaying symptoms like she was high, if it was a toad? I cant see anything she doesnt seem stressed with it at all Ill have to check the garden thoroughly once its light again in the morning to see if there is anything untoward she doesnt usually get stressed when Im out? Ill just keep an eye on her till the morning and see if it develops into anything more, thank you for your suggestions . She always dribbles when I feed her but it just carried on dribbling afterwards this time, i didnt notice if she was doing it before? I cant feel anything in her mouth
Re: Continuous dribbling I am slightly paranoid cos I lost my 61/2 yr old boy on frid 13th Feb so I just started thinking the worst but ill keep an eye on her and if she is still doing it later ill have to call the vet and get advice
Re: Continuous dribbling hmmm.....do keep an eye on her...when my dog starting dribbling constantly it turn out he had chewed some batteries! Swift trip to the vet resulted....
