I don't know if it's related but we are currently camping in the new forest. And last night he coughed all night! It sounds like he's got something in his throat or it's like a phlegmy cough a human would have. It kept me awake! I don't know if it is because he's got something in his throat, or whether it's the start of kennel cough but Maisie has been fine. Or could it just be where the air was cold in the tent? Maisie's having a good time on her first trip camping and is totally knackered! She has definitely been over walked I'm afraid but a lot of it is the fact 10m from the front of our tent is a huge meadow! And she chases Murphy around! X
Re: Cough whilst camping Oh dear, hope it clears up soon. Another possibility is he's scratched his throat and it's irritated.... Enjoy your camping!
Re: Cough whilst camping Sticks are a nightmare. Chomping and chasing them can cause serious injury :'( Not saying Murphy's cough is due to this, just an aside. It does sound like kennel cough but may not be!
Re: Cough whilst camping I'm careful not to let him run with sticks but being In the new forest theres lots of sticks everywhere and him and Maisie have taken to chewing them into tiny bits. At one point on our bed! He hasn't actually coughed this morning. Only all night when we were trying to sleep! So thinking it's hopefully not kennel cough!
Re: Cough whilst camping That's a good sign then that he's seeming better today...have a great time away, must take some doing camping with 2 labs, great fun x
Re: Cough whilst camping *camping* and *fun* wouldn't appear in the same sentence in my vocabulary. I do hope all is well. vomiting in a tent wouldn't be fun either.
