You know her problem with cows? Especially the black and white killer variety. Well we were coming back in time for breakfast and we'd crossed the river into the last field but one before home and there they were blocking the style on the other side of the field. I circled to one side and started to clap my hands at them and they all started to move off then a bit of panic set in and they went into rodeo mode at a canter down the field. Small Black Dog clearly thought they were scared of her and went bouncing after them, hackles up, and all stiff legged. ;D Later she blew her new found courage when I let her out last thing at night for a wee and something unseen in the garden freeked her out because she took off at high speed down the garden and hid behind the barbecue poor lamb. had to coax her out and hold her by the paw while she found a safe spot to wee on. So what that was that all about I have no idea. Fox? Cat? Shadow? : Or maybe there are dog ghosts in the garden.

Re: Small Black Dog Shows Heroism with Cows but is Spooked by a Shadow awh bless,.....jasper is frightened of his own shadow, he very rarely barks unless he hears the fox,....my garden backs onto fields, wow sometimes when i let him out he gives his coughing bark, then bellows with a big bark when he goes to the gate,..... when i took him on the field a fox ran within a yard of me ,...scared me half to death
